My name is William Joe, and I am 61 years old. For many years both of my shoulders were very painful so much so that it affected my arms and fingers and they became numb and weak. I was treated both by a western physician and Chinese herbal doctors. The western physician prescribed analgesics to alleviate the pain, and these I had to take continuously. The Chinese herbal doctor said that there was no cure for my condition because the "moisture" had settled in the joints.
In January 1995, my mother-in-law brought back several bottles of Chitaq from Vancouver and urged me to give it a try. I started taking it since my sister-in-law had assured me that Chitaq is a very basic amino sugar in the human body and it would have no adverse effect on me, even if it did not alleviate the pain. Chitaq's effect was not like the analgesic, for the pain did not go away overnight but slowly. Since taking Chitaq on a regular basis, I did not have to take the analgesic for eight months now. A strange thing that has also happened to me is that for over thirty years, I have suffered hay fever most of the year, but this year I have been free from all symptoms, e.g. sneezing, running and stuffy nose, itchy eyes etc. during the spring months. Could it also be from taking Chitaq?
My wife Shean started to take Chitaq in May 1995 because it has helped me. Shean also has pain in her shoulders, but her condition was worse than mine because both of her shoulders were very stiff and her arms and fingers were so painful that she could not even buckle up her seatbelt. Now most of her stiffness has gone and her arms and fingers are no longer hurting her. Right now, she is in Dallas helping our second daughter to look after her first born child.
